  11. REGISTRATION INFORMATION

  13. Registration Procedure:

  15. Dustbowl Designs, Inc. DiskQwik device driver is a complete and fully
  16. functional Shareware program.  You are invited to try and test the
  17. device driver for a time period of 14 days (2 weeks) in its
  18. unregistered status.  After this 14 day trail period, the device
  19. driver must be registered with Dustbowl Designs, Inc. or disengaged.

  21. Unlike the flexibility provided in Shareware Applications for
  22. registration reminders, a Shareware Device Driver is often out of
  23. sight and out of mind.  So, please take care to remember that you are
  24. still obliged to follow the rules of the 14 day trail period.  This
  25. shareware version requires the user to press a specific key to
  26. continue the boot process and displays a "Don't Delay, Register Today"
  27. reminder.  Registered versions boot through without ANY delays,
  28. whatsoever.

  30. DEFINITION OF SHAREWARE
  31.  
  32. Shareware distribution gives users a chance to try software before
  33. buying it. If you try a Shareware program and continue using it beyond
  34. the trial period, you are expected to register.

  36. Copyright laws apply to Shareware software products, and the copyright
  37. holder retains all rights, with a few specific exceptions as stated
  38. below. The author specifically grants the right to copy and distribute
  39. the software, either to all or to a specific group. For example, some

  48. guarantee -- if you do not use the product, you do not pay for it.

  50. DiskQwik v1.10 is a "shareware program" and is provided at no charge
  51. to the user for evaluation.  Feel free to share it with your friends,
  52. but please do not give it away altered or as part of another system.
  53. The essence of "user-supported" software is to provide personal
  54. computer users with quality software without high prices, and yet to
  55. provide incentive for programmers to continue to develop new products.

  57. If you continue to use DiskQwik v1.10 after 14 days, you must make a
  58. registration payment of $25.00 to Dustbowl Designs, Inc.. Payment of
  59. the registration fee will license one copy of v1.20 for use on any one
  60. computer at any one time.

  62. Registered version benefits and features:
  63.      * Custom control of the values used for setting Sector per Block
  64.        (SPB).
  65.      * WRITE Multiple companion to the READ Multiple routine.
  66.      * Ultra-fast program loading without delays or required user
  67.        intervention. (If you're getting tired of the random character
  68.        starter and prolonged registration reminder, then it is
  69.        probably time to register <grin>.)
  70.      * Postscript version of the documentation.
  71.      * Advanced technical support and continuous upgradability to all
  72.        future registered versions via our BBS.

  74. You must treat this software just like a book.  An example is that
  75. this software may be used by any number of people and may be freely
  76. moved from one computer location to another, so long as there is no
  77. possibility of it being used at one location while it is being used at
  78. another.

  80. Commercial users of DiskQwik v1.10 must register and pay for their
  81. copies of DiskQwik within 14 days of first use or their license is
  82. withdrawn. Site-License arrangements may be made by contacting

  85. Anyone distributing DiskQwik v1.10 for any kind of remuneration must
  86. first contact Dustbowl Designs, Inc. at the address below for
  87. authorization. This authorization will be automatically granted to
  88. distributors recognized by the (ASP) as adhering to its guidelines for
  89. shareware distributors, and such distributors may begin offering
  90. DiskQwik v1.10 immediately (However Dustbowl Designs, Inc. must still
  91. be advised so that the distributor can be kept up-to-date with the
  92. latest shareware version of DiskQwik).

  94. You are encouraged to pass a copy of DiskQwik v1.10 shareware
  95. distribution ZIP file along to your friends for evaluation.  Please
  96. encourage them to register their copy if they find that they can use
  97. it.

  99. We have studied hundreds of shareware products in order to determine a
  100. mutually acceptable registration fee.  This wonderful device driver
  101. does provide a true enhancement to your system and likely allows you
  102. to derive benefit and system uses otherwise impossible.  Therefore, we
